When is a Behavioural Consultation more suitable?
A Behavioural Consultation is recommended when the concern is more complex and requires a detailed assessment of the dog’s history, environment, triggers and behaviour patterns.
It may be the better starting point when the dog shows:
- strong fear, anxiety or difficulty coping with everyday situations;
- aggression or behaviour that may create a safety risk;
- severe or escalating reactivity;
- sudden, intense or difficult-to-explain changes in behaviour;
- persistent problems that have not improved with ordinary guidance and routine changes.
